Homeless Projects
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
We are still needing grocery gift cards in increments of $50 for the following stores:
  • Albertsons
  • Stator Brothers
  • Wal-Mart

We would like to distribute fast food gift certificates to the homeless here in Lancaster for the following:

  • McDonald's
  • Taco Bell
  • Jack in the Box
  • Dell Taco
  • Other fast food restaurants in the Antelope Valley

Victorville families still need tents, cast iron skillets, and blankets.  If I can get Command Post Tents instead of individual tents, these items can be better monitored.  We'll figure out a way to get it to them from here.

The Fluff and Tigger

The Fluff and I met around January or February 2008.  We became better acquainted in April when she and I were talking, which I found quite unusual for a cat.

The Fluff is unique in that unlike all of the other stray cats in the neighborhood, she has a means of communicating and socializing that is very unique to a cat, so I am assuming that she had some intensive training and once belonged to somebody.  She has been spending a lot of time in our home lately in a way that we can tell that she is an indoor cat, but not fixed.  Her level of intelligence is even more obvious than that of our own cats.  On April 20, she took me to her home behind a bush and the following day she took me to her three newborn babies.  All of her babies except for the one with six fingers on each hand have found homes already.  She even knows her name.  Here's a summary of her atrributes:

  • The Fluff is litter box trained.
  • She can communicate the following:
    • "Follow me."
    • "No."
    • "Yes."
    • "I want to something to eat."
    • "Don't bother me right now."
    • "I'm sorry.  I didn't mean to yell at you."
    • "I want in."
    • "I want out."
  • She is very loving.
  • She has a great sense of humor.
  • She is a great host assistant.
  • She is without fleas or ticks.
  • She is a great sounding board.
  • She is not messy, stinky, or a problem.
  • She makes a great pet for the elderly, the disabled, or the lonely.
  • She does not like other pets too well, but she does her best to avoid fights with our cats.  She especially does not like dogs.  Our neighbor upstairs complains about her attacking her dog who is still a puppy German Shepherd.

We need to find Fluff and Tigger, her remaining baby, a home.  If you can find a home for her and her son, Tigger, please contact me at NolanKingston@WorldCitizensSITMinistries.com.

Thank you!

Yesterday, the Fluff was euphemized due to space issues, and we call them The Humane Society?  We have so many homeless human beings across the countries.  Wouldn't it be equally humane to euphemize them all so that they also don't have to suffer also?  Where is the humanity?  Our whole reason for having them pick her up was because they said that they would process her and put her picture and information on the website for adoption.  Instead for space issues they murder this beautiful, harmless creature!  If this is humane, categorize me with the animals.  It is not humane at all.  That means that they killed her babies as well!  The logic is the American way, I guess, something I will never be proud of.

What I don't understand is why there are Animal IDs that are higher and lower than hers.  What injustice!

Confirmed by Derek Badge 241 that she was in fact euphemized without the opportunity of being adopted out.  Advised to speak to Lt. Palafox or Officer Chavez on Monday after 8:00 AM.  As surely as God lives, I promise that anyone who works for or supports the Animal Care and Control and anyone who is remotely associated with anyone who works for Animal Care and Control anywhere in the United States are hereby cursed before the Almighty God in this life and the life to come.  Anything such people touch will be marked by the angels in heaven as cursed.  This I know from the promptings that speak to me from On High.

You Have The Power To Stop The Killing Machine

Dear Nolan,

...A grandmother taken away by the police while playing at home with her grandchildren…A caregiver cited for feeding cats only days after an admitted cat killer walks free…A woman sued by her homeowners association for feeding the outdoor cats…

I hear stories like these every day and they break my heart.

Across this country, citizens are being punished for caring for stray and feral cats. These caregivers did not create the colonies of cats – and they are serving their communities by humanely caring for them. But according to the antiquated animal control laws and uninformed community leaders, each of these Good Samaritans deserves to be punished.

I’m sure you agree – this is outrageous!

And at the same time that these caring citizens are being punished, virtually every feral cat who enters an animal shelter is killed. It’s a “killing machine.” It’s going on all across America. And it’s got to stop. Shockingly, it is our governments and animal control agencies doing the killing. That’s right – the very system that is supposed to care about the welfare of animals is, in fact, slaughtering them.

That’s why I’m asking you to dig deep into your pockets today, and make a gift that reflects your strong love of animals and your belief in justice for our nation’s cats.

We must change outdated animal control laws, policies and practices. We must stop caregivers from being punished for doing the right thing. We must save the lives of the countless cats who enter animal shelters each year and are killed. And we must do it together.

We cannot be silent as countless cats are killed every day. It is time for the nation’s cat lovers and advocates to stand up and be counted. Together, we’ve got the power to stop the “killing machine.” This is our chance to make a difference for cats who are dying every day.

Please join me to stop this killing by making a contribution to Alley Cat Allies today. The need could not be more urgent. The sooner we receive your gift, the sooner we can stop the killing.

Together, we can change the world for stray and feral cats. Please join me by making a donation to Alley Cat Allies today. Don’t miss this chance to stand up and be counted.

For the cats,

Becky Robinson
President

P.S. I strongly urge you to make your voice heard in your own community. Find out the policy in your town by calling your local shelter. If your city is carrying out the all-too-common policy of killing stray and feral cats, learn how you can advocate to protect your community’s cats. The more people who get involved, the more cats we can protect.
