GOALS (WHERE WE WANT THESE MINISTRIES TO BE)
The Organization has the goal of turning our local homelessness into a wealth of human resources for thriving communities.
The Organization has the goal of helping society view The Oppressed as available assets and business opportunities, not liabilities. The Involuntarily Homeless are unnecessarily a liability to society not because they are all lazy, substance abusers, mentally ill , or criminals. To the dismay of many, homelessness is not that simple. Granted, many of the homeless are victims of homelessness either due to poor planning or unforeseen circumstances, but regardless The Oppressed are obvious and available human resources that society is mishandling or not taking advantage of properly whether they can work or not.
The Organization has the goal of utilizing the skills of the homeless to the advantage of society in general. The homeless whether voluntary (which is a good percentage among the homeless) or involuntary can be the greatest assets to a productive society if utilized to everyone’s advantage. I would suppose that if we utilized the human resources available to United States citizens properly there would be no incentive for foreigners to illegally cross our borders nor would our homeless population as we see on Skid Row be so large with such historically long residents.
The Organization has the goal of educating society on the truth behind homelessness and educating the homeless about what they can do to re-enter society as my wife and I were desperately seeking when we were homeless. The sad thing is that The Oppressed are shamelessly violated, abused, and gravely misunderstood by law enforcement, political officials, organizations that give mere handouts instead of hands up , business owners, and society in general while not realizing that a simple two second tragedy could put them in the same shoes in a flash. We have a moral duty to be educated by facts and not myths, much of which I have seen in the media.
I am amazed at how ignorant, cruel, inhumane, and thoughtless members of our own family were about our situation while we were homeless; that treatment in turn forces people like us to empathize with those who have been rejected by their own flesh and blood as well as flighty and seeming friends even more. To add to this empathy, there is such an unquenchable shame of such beings that is felt that I personally struggle with my inability to easily forgive these family members and friends. The only means of my dealing with their most unforgivable disposition is my faith that if I do forgive them their actions will be in the hands of a Higher Power than mine, so, as part of my catharsis, healing in society probably is my greatest, personal focus in achieving the goals and objectives of The Organization.
The Organization has the goal of protecting The Oppressed from brute violence and even murder. The misconceptions of how people become oppressed have led to brutal violence by non-oppressed people, violations of civil rights by law enforcement, and deprivation of survival by government, businesses and society at large. Such an American act of Terrorism is nothing to be proud of, and there is inhumane shame to be called an American for this type of neglect of human beings. To be proud of such animalistic behavior is equivalent to being proud of an adult who preys upon and kills your own little child for violent, sexual pleasure in the name of Capitalism.
The Organization has the goal of reducing the stress that comes with social oppression. With the above in mind, society has the opportunity to alleviate the stress induced by the misconceptions, and the funds received by The Organization shall be used to combat these misconceptions via education; employment whether compensated with meals, commodities, services, or other resources provided by businesses that cannot otherwise afford wages; keeping communities beautiful by having the homeless clean it in exchange for a room to stay in and a place to bathe such as at a motel or other facility; service by taking away any and all need for the homeless to panhandle or ask unnecessarily for assistance; and appropriation of government resources so that municipal agencies are not overburdened by case loads that otherwise could be farmed out to The Organization.
The Organization has the goal of turning poverty into an economic as well as an ecological experiment, namely in changing currency from dollars and cents into human, material, and spiritual resources. Why should a homeless citizen of the United States be deprived of earning a vacation on a cruise line or at a Hilton? There are so many resources that ought to be worth what The Oppressed can do to fulfill his/her needs and wants.
The Organization has the goal of creating an ecologically sound society for The Oppressed. By providing community gardens and agriculture for the impoverished, the impoverished are fed and food from the produce grown by the impoverished becomes a source of income and a means of preventing waste. Waste management begins with every SITP and ends within each community.
The Organization has the goal of building storehouses of food, clothes, and other items by the hands of The Oppressed themselves who will also be compensated as appropriately as possible, namely with deposits into their WCA and WCB accounts, acquisition of needs and wants both, and meaningful compensation in other forms. Those who experience poverty as the result of disability can receive the benefits of those who are able to provide for them by tithing their remaining commodities and preparing such for storehouses. The Organization has agricultural goals to the extent of building canneries and packing and storing produce for The Organization communities to live on. To avoid waste, the resources that The Organization receives will go toward agricultural planning and the building of canneries where recipients of the SIT Programs can benefit.
The Organization has the goal of turning neediness into the central point of a united community of service. These needs being fulfilled will become the community commodity instead of general supply meeting demands as is in the case of basic economics. The Organization has a goal of uniting people with similar needs and providing through the appropriate BD to fulfill those needs the best way possible. By setting up communities of people with similar needs without instituting these people, resources provided to The Organization will be used to institute ways for those participating in the SIT Programs to benefit and receive training through service.
